“The Galactic Syndicate of Planets would like to announce the signing of the Interstellar Treaty on Temporal Non-Interference by representatives from all seven systems. This ground-breaking piece of diplomacy, headed up by the CHRONOS division, and especially Nix Ralone, makes it a crime under interstellar law to design, create, or use time machines with the express purpose of changing causality. This is in order to prevent an ever-escalating time-travel based arms race, which could only be detrimental to the well being of the inhabitants of the systems.
“Along with that, the enforcement arm of the CHRONOS division has been hard at work ensuring that this law can actually remain in place. Details are obviously kept under a certain amount of secrecy, but time machines and detectors held by the GSP are being set up to be used to preemptively deal with non-registered time travel. Given the continued existence of this law, we can only assume that it will be a great success.”
— From a GSP press release
An explosion breaks through the glass wall of an unassuming tower block in Kedalion. A figure emerges from the dust: Kaia Sharpe, Time Spy!
“Mission complete, returning to the time machine.” She speaks into a communicator, which beeps and displays a route.
She begins to run back along the pre-planned route, up to the roof for extraction. However when she reaches it, she is immediately surrounded by armed forces from the GSP. A brooding Nix Ralone emerges from the crowd, and he and Kaia share a look, one filled with the pained emotions of betrayed friends.
“Kaia Sharpe, you hereby placed under the custody of the GSP pending trial for Crimes against Time.”

Dear Nix and Raya,
It has been far too long, and bizarre how quickly time flies. I know that you are both incredibly busy with all of your work at the GSP, but you must return to Kedalion some time soon. When you do, we will have to have dinner again. The Briarean imports are growing year on year, so we actually have some interesting variation to speak of, and most of it isn't too unusual to our palette. We'll have to fill you in on all the other news from Kedalion too, so don't be a stranger.
Get in touch soon,
Nix, Mana, and Raya
