Acting on the advice of the CHRONOS Project, Adam Moutinho (at the time the //de facto// leader of the Tungsten Roses) announced that he would be overseeing the transition to a more democratic system of government.

In our planet's first democratic election in over a millennium, Adam Moutinho's husband, Solomon, was elected Achelia's first Dawn Consul. Since then, nineteen different Achelians have held this office, representing twelve different political parties.
