"Charlotte's funeral was lovely. We all knew that it was coming, but it was still so sad to see her go after all this time. She was brought back on a ship from Kedalion, in a blooming coffin made from what seemed to be all sorts of rare materials. It was hard to get everyone in from adventuring to attend, so instead we went to them - you should have seen the procession out, it was a sight to behold! It was really strange to see these people again, who I just have this vague memory of from Twenty years ago. She really did make an impact!

"When it was all over, we of course had to have a wake. It was... something else. I would be lying if I said that I remembered all of it, but people definitely seemed to want to try to make something big of her memory. It was lovely."

==== The Greenhouse ====

Monthly Report XXIV:

We've had another series of spikes in energy from the Greenhouse in sector AQ-MM3. It seems to be related to the recent excess plant growth, but that doesn't explain the whole picture. Cross referencing the previous reports on this sector seems to suggest that something has been being built there. Speculations from the opti predictions include:

  * A new large opti network.
  * Investments into in-house food development
  * Something unpredictable.

The most recent reports have said that the greenhouse is //talking// to them. These are obviously superstitious nonsense, but we will retain any further mentions of it.

==== A Tree ====

"So, when I was much younger than I am now, but still older than all of you, I went travelling out through the world. Back then the world was brown and barren, and we were only just learning to grow again. So I travelled through the green and the brown, to search for the unknown. Out there I found a tree all on its lonesome; it grew many times my height, and while it grew green leaves, the bark was black and sickly. Out from every crack grew flowers.

"I'm not sure why this tree was here, because I've never seen anything like it anywhere else on Briareos. It was strange though, like someone was walking over my grave."
