From what I'd heard, the village had traditionally relied on other Cheimeran settlements for a lot of what they needed to survive, but a recent eruption had cut them off from these other settlements. Stripped of their lifeline, they were now stricken by an outbreak of disease. I knew I might not be welcomed with open arms, but I also could not just stand by whilst they suffered.//
