-  * **15:00** All comms and systems cut. The //Ananke// can no longer be found on any sensors.
+  * **10:00** The Chronos machine is packed away by the team of scientists, who state that an error with the machine means that they are unable to turn it back on again for a final demonstration. Disappointment is expressed, but most people have been able to interact with the machine already so there isn’t too much complaint.
+  * **15:30** A Eunomian vessel, the ESV //Serenity// arrives at the ship and requisitions the now-inert machine in the interests of interplanetary security. They also retrieve Princess Eusenia, taking her home a day early.
-Information stored on the //Prometheus// asteroid shows that the instability detected in the machine on the previous two days grew to extremely dangerous levels. The recording cuts out at the point where it reaches a critical level.
+  * **19:00** A final, celebratory dinner is held. A number of the conference guests have left early and the whole affair is a little lacklustre, though it is agreed that the food is excellent.
+  * **21:00** The main hall of the ship is converted into a large dance hall and delegates are advised to let loose and enjoy themselves a little. This celebration is again a little lacklustre, but many groups, particularly members of the Model Galactic Syndicate, are seen enjoying themselves.
-Events known to have been planned for this day include a closing dinner showcasing the finest cuisine from all of the systems, and a collaborative performance of cultural highlights from each system.
 ===Day 9===
-Investigatory ships from [[Selas]] and [[Achelia]] arrived at the last known coordinates of the //Ananke//. They found exotic matter which suggested that some the cause of the destruction may have been a collision between the station and an object travelling at [[:space travel|faster than light (FTL)]] speeds - something that should not have been possible given the design of the station, as any FTL object should have decelerated to rest at a safe distance.
