This is an old revision of the document!
“They say that from the wind's first sigh
Achelia glistered in the sky,
But as greed grew and business flourished
Its natural riches were malnourished.
To save it from a grisly fate,
The CHRONOS team set back the date,
And so, through art and civil war
Our painted home was safe once more.“
'Approximately 20 years after the overthrowing of Klaycorp, the Tungsten Roses began work on the dissolution of the temporary government that they had instated in the immediate aftermath of the civil war. Acting on the advice of the CHRONOS Project, Adam Moutinho (at the time the de facto leader of the Tungsten Roses) announced that he would be overseeing the transition to a more democratic system of government.
Per the plans laid out by those aboard the Prometheus, the planet was divided into 102 voting constituencies. After the merger of 1287, in which Upper Chale and Lower Chale joined to become simply 'Chale', these became the 101 constituencies with which we are all familiar today. In our planet's first democratic election in over a millennium, Adam Moutinho's husband, Solomon, was elected Achelia's first Azure Consul. Since then, nineteen different Achelians have held this office, representing twelve different political parties.
Whilst their policies have differed in most regards, every Azure Consul since Solomon Moutinho has upheld his pro-environmentalist stance, with large amounts of government funding being directed towards the restoration and renovation of Achelia's former natural beauty.
