Ever wanted to go on holiday to Cheimeros? Not many have, but if you do want to, now you can. Bowing to pressure from groups such as Open Sky, the Cheimeran Council of Elders have today announced the opening of a new spaceport which will allow free visitation from other planets. In a public statement, they have announced that they are now open to the possibility of trade routes and planetside embassies. While no-one could call Chaimeros a completely open planet, the foundation of the port certainly points in the direction of political change.'

The Clayborne family have, in different ways, shaped the history of our planet. From Wymond Clayborne and the great structural reforms he brought about in 1105-6 to Jocelyn Clayborne's temporary communisation of the Peakrock settlement, this has alwasys been a political factory, exemplified in recent years by Esota Clayborne and the Aphras Clayborne. First cousins, they stood in direct opposition to each others' ideals, but despite this all accounts suggest that relations remained cordial between the two.

While Esota, as leader of Open Sky, pushed for greater openness, Aphra, and the Aphra who joined her from another timeline, pushed back, emphasising the importance of Cheimeron traditional values. While there were many figures involved in the debate, the mutual understanding these cousins fostered enabled several of the key talks which many credit with preventing Cheimeros from breaking out into full on civil war.

Now, several years after their deaths, we can look back and credit all three of these women with the formation of Cheimeron's current, unique culture, and the balance of remaining true to our own history while embracing our neighbours that characterises Cheimeros today…

Comments: Cheimeros continues to grow greener under our watch. There has been some public resistance - the people are not all keen with the idea of Briareons meddling in their affairs. But on the whole, the presence of fresh vegetables in the Cheimeron diet is being met positively. We're operating within designated 'green zones' around the open port to keep a balance between the city's demands. Overall though? It's going pretty well.
