'Ready, buddy?'
'Yep. Let's do this. Time to put the past to rest…and to focus on the future.'
Who do they think they are, huh? We were offering top coin for this job, and they say no? '“Threatening families”' is bad', huh? Well, whatever. Eff them then. There are more than enough other mercs who'll appreciate the job. Those idiots aren't gonna be in the business for long if they keep up the goody-goody act. Mercs work for hire not for conscience, ya know what I mean? So, those guys ain't mercs–just wannabe heroes.

You stop by the home of John and Lily in this timeline. You activate your chameleon-face and, hesitantly, you knock on the door. John answers. At this point, you realise that you hadn't actually thought about what you were going to say at this point. You stammer awkwardly for a moment, but John seems to understand what's going on.
'You're…the one who sent us that portfolio, huh? The one from that station…Prometheus, I think? You're…you're me, huh? Come on in.' He turns. 'Lily! We have company!'
Well. That was easier than done.
Over the next few hours, you enjoy some tea and chat with John and Lily. At first it's awkward, but eventually the ice begins to melt and the three (two?) of you begin feeling more natural. You learn that John and Lily have been investing some of their money in a variety of charities, and that they have enough to live comfortably.
All too soon, though, it's time for you to go. You bid them farewell, wish them luck, and meet back up with Mars to prepare to take to the stars.
